Rules for Texas Hold'em Variants

In my own opinion, learning the fundamentals being the most important thing in anything that you do .

No Limit:

The key to no limit hold'em is to find a style that you are comfortable with. No-Limit Texas Hold'em is not suitable for beginners, as the game requires and places a much higher premium on tight/aggressive play.If you are interested in trying out No-Limit Texas Hold'em as a beginner, you should start out with low buy-in, no-limit tournaments.

No Limit Texas Hold'em is easy to learn using the same rules as poker but only giving each player two cards and sharing 5 community cards.

Even though the game is easy to learn it has been thought of as one of the toughest to master with the unlimited betting and shared cards.

Blinds are mandatory bets made by the first two players clockwise from the dealer button. The blinds posted in all limit games are in the amounts of 1/2 of the lower limit for the first player (small blind) and the lower limit for the second player (big blind). The blinds in a $10-$20 game would, therefore, be $5 and $10 .

In no limit tournament poker, going all-in is common. You don't want to play a $50 NL game and then bleed out $25 and just have $25 left on the table. If you get a great hand, you want to be able to double through for the full amount.

Key skills to becoming a good No-Limit Texas Hold'em player

    - Have patience and discipline and select starting hands carefully
    - Ability to read other players
    - Psychology- This is essential, when you want to think how your opponen think and in order to understand what reasons force them to make the decisions they make

While you playing answers to these questions :
    - What does my opponent has?
    - What does my opponent think or know about my cards?
    - What does my opponent thinks I think he has?
    - Remember that the other players are watching (and listening to) you. Keep track of your table image and how your acting during the game - if you're giving away tells the other players will surely take advantage of that.

If you can clearly answer these questions regarding each of your opponents, then you can use these answers to do your best at the poker table.

      - Risks vs Reward
Good poker players tend to be slightly risk-averse rather than risk neutral or risk loving.
The best poker players are at least slightly risk averse, valuing every single dollar in the bankroll equally.

You need skill to be a winner, finally Winning at Texas Hold'em Poker tastes great!

Fixed Limit:

This is the best place to learn the fundamentals, with the least amount of risk involved.
Fixed limit hold'em is almost all about the math. You can play numerous hands, regardless of position knowing you will get a cheap look at the flop.

Most players will chase all the way to the river with marginal hands looking for the elusive 2 or 4 outs that will win the pot.

For example, you have to pay $20 to call and the pot is $100. In total you have to pay $20 to win a $120 pot, the bet you lay counts as belonging to the pot. That means the pay-out is 5 to 1. Expected value is based on a lot of factors in preflop play: position at the table, the different reads you’ve made on your opponents, your starting hand value, the action generated by you and by the other players.

In FL, it doesn’t exactly take a genius to see where the EV+ (positive expected value) is.

Pot Limit:

One of the most fundamental differences between Texas Hold’em PL (pot limit) and FL (fixed limit) play, comes when you flop top set but one (or more) of the players still in the game, get a four card flush.
With pot limit rules the maximum bet is limited by the pot size while maximum raise is limited by the pot size + the cost of calling.
The minimum bet is the BB while the minimum amount you can raise with is equal to the bet or amount raised with before you. There is no limit to the number of raises allowed in each betting round. The pot and the chip stacks of the players are the only limits.
